Healthy Food for Denver Kids

In the last 30 days, 1 in 7 Denver kids missed a meal
because their families could not afford to eat.

The Healthy Food For Denver Kids campaign – a grassroots, citizen-initiated ballot measure to help feed Denver’s low-income kids while providing cooking, gardening, and nutrition classes to help kids make healthy choices today and into the future – will be up for vote this November as Ordinance 302. This measure would increase sales taxes by less than a penny on a ten dollar purchase to provide millions in funding for healthy food and food education programs in Denver over a ten year period.
